Roberto Tostado MD
As the medical director of the iBody Wellness Clinic, it might come as a surprise to you that I don’t believe good health begins in a doctor’s office. I believe it starts with you. Our current healthcare system relies too much on harmful medications and not enough on how to make real, positive changes to patients’ lifestyles.
In 2004, after working as a traditional physician for over a decade, I left a promising career at Kaiser Permanente in order to pursue more empowering, nutritional approaches to maintaining good health.
My book, “WTF is Wrong With Our Health?” takes a deep dive into the problems I encountered working in traditional care and the alternatives I’ve grown to love.
The iBody Clean Transformation program and line of cleanses are direct results of these explorations, designed to nurture wellness and vitality by inspiring people to take control over their own health. As the name suggests, iBody is all about uncovering the all-confident “I” in personal healthcare.
I have been a physician for over 26 years; Board Certified in Regenerative and Anti-aging medicine by the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, American Academy of Restorative Medicine, and a Fellow of Nutritional and Digestive Medicine. I hold degrees from Columbia University and the University of Michigan Medical School. I completed my medical residency at the USC California Medical Center.

With over 30 years of clinical practice, my passion for holistic patient care drove me to co-found the iBody Wellness Clinic with my husband in 2004.
I strive to make every element of our treatments as welcoming and transformative as possible by steering our patients towards healthy eating habits and lifestyle choices, not just quick fixes.
Nothing makes me happier than seeing the tremendous impact our clinic has had on the thousands of patients we’ve treated.
My love for cooking (and culinary certification from the Academy of Culinary Education in Los Angeles) led me to co-create our delicious line of original cleanse products with our daughter, Amelie. My favorite sous-chef!
I received my education at the University of Santo Tomas, Manila, Philippines, and graduated with a Masters degree from UCLA. After getting my NP degree with honors, I served as an Associate Professor at UCLA for 10 years. I am Board Certified in Pediatrics, certified by The American Academy of Restorative Medicine, and a Diplomat of the American Academy of Antiaging Medicine.
